Happiness For You

Happiness Poll

“A person can succeed at anything for which there is enthusiasm.” -Charles Schwab

The word “Enthusiasm” comes from the Latin word “Entheos” which means “Inspired to God”. Enthusiasm is the energy or the fuel that ignites happiness. Enthusiasm means being full of life and positive energy. It provides the ability to realize what one wants out of life. Enthusiasm comes from happiness and vice versa. It is no wonder that all the successful people, great athletes and entrepreneurs have been the most enthusiastic people. In fact most of us are enthusiastic about what we want and our enthusiasm grows as we approach it.

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm”. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Enthusiasm is like a force, an electric spark that attracts people. It keeps them bonded which is so critical for success and happiness. Enthusiasm may be considered along three dimensions - physical, mental and spiritual. Physically it is energy; mentally it is a desire for growth and spiritually a good balance of all the ingredients of happiness. Working with enthusiasm motivates us, increases our interest towards work and develops our self-confidence. At times we experience stress and do not like our work. It is the time to re-think and fill our self with enthusiasm. Doing our work properly, giving more than what is expected, treating everybody good at work place and being friendly with colleagues; adds to our enthusiasm. We should be cheerful and do small things in great way. Discussing positively with colleagues and seniors for improvement of our work gives us encouragement and appreciation.
